Christian presenter fired from radio station for offending Muslims

A church minister and radio show host is beginning legal proceedings against a community radio station, citing unfair dismissal due to religious discrimination. Revd Mahboob Masih claims he was sacked for ‘supporting the Bible’s teachings’ on the Asian station. Mr Masih had hosted a regular Saturday morning show on Awaz FM in Glasgow for six years. But the radio station’s management objected to a debate on the show where Revd Masih and his co–presenter criticised a Muslim, Zakir Naik, for his comments about Christianity on digital TV. A Christian on–air guest defended Christ’s uniqueness, against Naik’s claim that Jesus was not the only prophet to be ‘the way, the truth and the life’.
