Friends,

The Lord reminded us once again that He is the King and the government rest on His shoulders.

It could have been another blood bath during this Christmas season.  Thank you for your prayers that has ascended to heaven and your letters, emails faxes to authorities in New Delhi and Bhubaneswar .

Our new  Indian Home Minister, Mr Chidambaram,  took action at the right time.  The Director General of Police of Orissa, Mr Manmhan Praharaj, has done a commendable job by averting the plans of the fundamental radicals.  Christmas was peaceful and the people were allowed to celebrate Christmas in the refugee camps.

There was mild tension in Gajapathi Districts and shops were shut at few places of that District.

We were told that the Maoists' presence was seen.  They were ready to act in case the religious radicals obstructed Christians' worship.

One of our friends has just returned from visiting Kandhamal and has reported that things are peaceful.  Another friends' well written article about Christmas has appeared in four main Oriya News paper yesterday.

Please continue to pray:

1. For peace to prevail.

2. People to be able to reconstruct houses and return.

3. Livelihood of people to be restored.

4. Government to continue to act.

5. Our commitment to relief and rehabilitation to be effective.

Many thanks for your sincere prayers.
